Laura: a gold mask wild, x3 free games and a five-in-a-row jackpot

Where most Play8oy slots have four jackpot boxes, Laura has one wooden sign at the top that says JACKPOT, and it reads 0 in all three captures. The rules for it turn out to be the most interesting thing on the paytable.

The reels sit in front of a stepped jungle pyramid. The heroine is a dark-haired adventurer with a pistol, and the other face on the reels is a tribal warrior in face paint. Her kit makes up the middle symbols: a green jeep, a brass compass and a coiled whip. The low symbols are stone-carved letters from 9 up to A, each in its own colour. Two specials: a wooden FREE GAME sign, and a gold mask with WILD written under it.

The bet bar shows 15 lines at PLAY 1, so 15 points a spin.

This capture catches a win mid-count: a big YOU WIN banner, 71 in red, and a "x2" on the left edge, which fits the gold mask sitting on reel 4 (the wild doubles wins). Look closely at the jeep on reel 1 and the compass on reel 2: both carry a small green JP tag.

Wild, free games and the JP line

The gold mask pays 10,000 for five and substitutes for everything except the scatter, doubling the wins it's in. The FREE GAME sign is the scatter. Three give 15 free games with a x3 multiplier, and another three during the free games retrigger. Laura and the warrior pay 750 for five, the jeep 500, the compass and whip 250, the letters 150 down to 100.

The JACKPOT table explains those JP tags. Five JP symbols in a row on any line win the jackpot. A minimum total bet of 75 gets 50% of it; 150 or more gets 100%. The bet in these captures is 15, well under both.

There's also a MAIN GAME FEATURE note: "Player may obtain extra WILD symbol through dinosaur's attack." I never saw a dinosaur, so I can't say how often that happens.
