Gladiator Jackpot: helmets for the jackpot, the Colosseum for a bonus
A slot based on the film with two bonus triggers printed right above the reels and a jackpot counter in the millions. Text only: the reels are full of actors' faces.
The jackpot counter in the top-right corner of the NTC33 captures reads RM6,449,816.52, and five screenshots later it's RM6,449,817.32. Eighty sen in a few spins, which gives you an idea of how many people are feeding it.
Gladiator Jackpot is the Playtech slot built on the Gladiator film, and almost every picture symbol is a photographic portrait of one of the film's characters: the young emperor with a gold laurel, the old emperor, a grey-bearded man in a dark hood, a gladiator in a round steel helmet, a woman in red. Because they're the actors' faces, I've left the screenshots off this page.
What's on the reels
Apart from the faces, there are two special symbols. One is a silver gladiator's helmet with a grille visor. The other is a painting of the Colosseum labelled SCATTER. The low symbols are 9, 10, J, Q, K and A in tall gold letters on a dark stone background, and the frame is a sandy arena wall with line numbers down both sides, up to 25.
The two bonus triggers
The banner above the reels switches between two messages:
- 3 x helmet starts the Gladiator Jackpot Bonus. The old page said the helmets need to be on reels 2, 3 and 4. Then every symbol on those reels turns into a bronze, silver or gold helmet, each with a prize, gold paying the most.
- 3 or more Colosseum scatters start the Coliseum Bonus. According to the old page this is a pick game, row by row, with free spins, multipliers and extra wilds at stake.
Neither bonus appears in the captures, so both descriptions are the old page's, not mine.
The bet bar
It's an older Playtech bar: a coin selector marked "click to change" (RM0.01 here), a SPINS counter set to 10 for auto-play, LINES, LINE BET and TOTAL BET, then INFO, AUTO START, LINES, BET PER LINE, BET MAX and SPIN. All five captures ran on one line at RM0.01.
