Fish Prawn Crab: six pictures, three dice and a porcelain bowl

The shaker in this game is a blue-and-white porcelain bowl with a lid, sitting on a matching plate, and when it lifts you get three dice with little ink drawings on their faces. If you've ever stood at a pasar malam stall or played at Chinese New Year, you know this one as Hoo Hey How, or just ikan udang ketam.

The table is cream paper with the six pictures in thick squares: a blue gourd, a blue old-style coin with a square hole, a green crab, a red fish, a red rooster and a green prawn. The characters 魚蝦蟹 (fish, prawn, crab) sit top centre.

The payouts printed on the table

Each of the six picture squares is a single-symbol bet. The strip under them reads SINGLE x2, DOUBLE x3, TRIPLE x8: your picture on one die, two dice or all three. The old page said two dice pay 2:1 and three pay 3:1, which doesn't match the x8 printed here. I aland the screen doesn't say if "x2" means your stake back plus one more, or double on top. The help page should say.

Above the top row sits ANY TRIPLE x33, a bet that all three dice land on the same picture, any picture. Below, fifteen squares show every pair of symbols, with ANY SINGLE x6 and ANY DOUBLE x11 printed at the bottom.

In this capture MYR0.10 sat on the crab and the dice came up prawn, gourd and fish. No crab, no win.

Chips, buttons and history

Five chips along the bottom: 0.01, 0.05, 0.10, 0.50 and 1, with arrows to scroll through more. CLEAR LAST and CLEAR ALL take chips off. The big round button changes as the round moves on, from OPEN to TOSS to REBET. The corner says MIN BET MYR0 and MAX BET MYR125.

On the left, HISTORY lists the six symbols with a coloured bar beside each, filling up as that picture appears, plus the last few results as rows of three dice. It's tempting to read patterns into those bars. Each toss is independent, so they won't tell you what's next.
