Ri Ri Sheng Cai: more coins turn the symbols gold
A 243-ways Chinese slot where the coins you play decide which symbols turn gold and which jackpots you can hit. The NTC33 info screen spells it out.
The bottom-left corner of the Ri Ri Sheng Cai screen has a small strip of six symbol icons above the COIN VALUE and COINS controls. At 8 coins those icons are red, orange and green. At 88 coins they're all gold, and so are the reels. That strip is the key to how this game works.
Ri Ri Sheng Cai (日日生财, "wealth every day") is a 243-ways slot on red lacquer reels, with a turquoise pot of gold coins at the top and four chubby children in the corners holding the jackpot boxes.
What the info screen says
The opening screen explains three things:
- Gold symbols. Play more coins and you get higher-paying gold symbols and more of the progressive jackpots. Six ordinary symbols sit under six gold ones: the coin charm, oranges, the koi, the jade toad, the silver ingot, and a round jackpot emblem.
- Free games. "Choose your free games. Up to 18 free games. Up to x18 multiplier." The picture is a money tree covered in gold coins. The old page called the golden tree the scatter, which fits.
- Progressive jackpots. "4 progressive jackpots. [emblem] anywhere on the reels may trigger a jackpot win.", above a board of 12 gold coins.
Coins, bet and jackpots
The bet is a coin value (RM0.01 in every capture) times a number of coins. The hero shot uses 88 coins for RM0.88 a spin, and the reels there are all gold: oranges, koi, coin charms and a gold toad. The shot below uses 8 coins for RM0.08, with red and green versions of the same symbols.
That spin paid RM0.10 in way wins, with the jackpot emblem sitting on reel 2. The jackpots in these captures were Grand RM1,753,904, Major RM4,457, Minor about RM120 and Mini about RM62 to RM69. The info screen says more coins bring "more progressive jackpots", so at 8 coins you may not be eligible for all four. How many coins each jackpot needs isn't shown. Check INFO before assuming the Grand is in play.
