Chao Ji 888: a three-reel machine that only cares about eights
One symbol, three reels, three prizes printed above the window. The simplest game on NTC33, described from its own screens.
Everything on this machine is an 8. The reels carry a single symbol, a golden dragon coiled into the shape of an eight with its head at the top loop, and the three prizes are written above the window in plain sight: 8 x8, 88 x88, 888 x888.
That's the whole paytable. There are no lines to choose, no wilds, no feature. Chao Ji 888 (超级, "super") looks like a small upright cabinet with purple curtains either side, a cloudy teal backdrop with two dragons, and a green dome SPIN button that you'd want to slap if it were real.
How it pays
Each reel shows one symbol at a time across the middle, sometimes a full 8 and sometimes the top of one and the bottom of the next. One 8 on the centre line pays eight times the bet, two pay 88 times and three pay 888 times.
The hero screenshot proves the smallest one: BET RM0.05, one 8 in place, WIN RM0.4. Eight times five sen.
This capture is the one everybody wants, three full dragon 8s straight across. The WIN box still reads 0, so either the win hadn't been counted yet when the picture was taken or the symbols weren't quite on the line. I can't tell from a still. At RM0.01, x888 would have been RM8.88.
Bet controls
Under the reels there are two boxes, BET and WIN, both in RM, and two blue buttons for minus and plus. The captures show RM0.01 and RM0.05. The old page talked about going "all out" on a maximum bet but never gave a number, and I didn't see one either.
Being this simple is the point. Each spin takes a second and nothing distracts you from the balance. That's also why it's easy to spin far more than you meant to.
