A row of four small icons sits at the top of Golden Rooster under the words ACTIVE SYMBOLS: a red-combed rooster, a green jade carving, a silver ingot and a string of firecrackers. Every one of those symbols also exists in a gold version on the reels, and the odds table shows the gold ones pay far more. It's the same idea as Fortune Tree, with farmyard and treasure pictures instead of zodiac beasts.
The bet bar starts with GOLD SYMBOL 48, then PLAY 1, and TOTAL PLAY 48. Above the reels, a treasure bowl heaped with gold sits between four plaques: GRAND 111,343, MAJOR 20,345, MINOR 11,123 and MINI 13,514. The frame is red with gold cloud patterns, and ALL WAYS runs down both sides.
In the first capture three roosters stack up on reel 2, white with bright red combs. Gold coins with a square hole, firecrackers and the card symbols A, Q, 10 and 9 fill the rest.
This win of 20 comes from gold coins on reels 1, 2 and 3. On reel 3 the purple tile with a red 福 (fu, good fortune) is lit up along with the coin, so it looks like it's standing in as a wild. A round red-and-blue medallion, the scatter, sits on reel 1 just below.
Odds and scatter
The top row puts gold and plain versions side by side. Gold rooster 500 for five, 100 for four, 50 for three; plain rooster 50, 10, 5. Gold jade 400, gold ingot 250, gold firecrackers 150, and every plain one pays 50 for five. The coin pays 100, and A down to 9 all pay 50, 10 and 5.
Under SCATTER, five medallions give 20 free games and four give 15. The text beside it reads "3 or more consecutive" medallions or 福 tiles "from left to..." before the capture cuts off, so the rule for three isn't in my shot.
