Pocket Monster on Mega888: twelve creature bets whose odds change rows

In one capture a chip of 50 sits on the first creature in the red row, at x35. Two captures later the same box in the red row says x40, and the green row, which had x40, now says x35. The odds in Pocket Monster aren't glued to a colour. They move between rounds, so read the board each time before you put chips down.

We don't show screenshots of this game: its artwork is built on characters from a famous cartoon franchise. Here's how it plays, from six captures on Mega888.

The board

The bottom half of the screen is a bet board of three coloured rows, red, green and yellow, each with the same four creatures. Each creature box has a multiplier and a counter for the chips you've placed. The top creature pays the most (x31 to x40), then x15 to x20, x8 to x11 and x5 to x7. A column on the right holds three more bets: BANK x2, TIE x9 and PLAYER x2.

The bottom bar has a CHIPS button showing the chip size (x 100 in the first capture, x 50 after that), then BAL, BET and WIN. Before a round the buttons read CLEAR and START; after one they change to NEXT, and between rounds to LAST RESULT and REBET.

A round

Press START and the board folds away. What's left is a forest path surrounded by a ring of creature tiles in the same three colours, with a cat-like tile at the top and a blue egg tile at the bottom. A light runs round the ring. On the left is a JACKPOT box and a card that starts as a black silhouette, with a Chinese title and POCKET MONSTER underneath.

In one capture the light has stopped on the egg tile, the silhouette is egg-shaped and the box on the right is still rolling between TIE and BANK. In another, the light has stopped on a small blue turtle-like creature in the green row, the card shows it in full, the creature itself walks onto the path, and the box on the right says PLAYER.

Two bets, two losses

The balance goes 9531, 9481, 9431. The first 50 went on the x35 creature in the red row; the round landed on the turtle and PLAYER, and WIN stayed at 0. The next 50 went on the x6 creature in the green row, and that round isn't shown ending.

The JACKPOT figure swings a lot between shots, from 119,910 to 417,140. None of the captures says how you win it.
