The symbols are palace objects. A stone bridge over a lotus pond, a painted round fan, a pipa lute, a gold wine ewer, a jade hairpin, a blue silk purse, a peacock with its tail spread, and a palace hall behind red curtains. The empress in a tall jewelled headdress looks like the top picture, and a pale pearl orb held in a gold dragon frame is the odd one out.
What the message bar says
Under the reels a strip rotates between rules. Two of them turn up in these screens: "3 JACKPOT SYMBOLS TRIGGER JACKPOT GAME" and "3 OR MORE SCATTER SYMBOLS AWARDS FREE SPINS". The pearl orb glows like a scatter when it lands, so my guess is that it's the free-spin symbol, but I never saw the free spins start. Check the "i" page in the game before you rely on that.
The jackpot bar in the first capture shows GRAND 61,893, MAJOR 16,599, MINOR 8,503 and MINI 5,801. At lower stakes, Justice Bao (bet 20) and Highway Kings (bet 9) show much smaller Grands, so the tiers seem to scale with the bet.
A stacked orb
The shot above is the interesting one. The pearl orb fills the whole of reel 4, and the win line for 16 runs straight through it while two empresses pay on the left. That points to the orb doing more than scatter duty, possibly standing in for other symbols, but the screens don't spell it out.
The old page talked about four types of jackpot and free spins. The jackpot bar and the free-spin message match that much. Anything beyond it I couldn't confirm.
