Midnight Carnival: saws, axes and a clown that hands out free spins

A saw blade with a chainsaw grip, a kettlebell with a stitched-on grin, a wood axe: Midnight Carnival's symbols belong in a horror film rather than a funfair. The background keeps it up, with a string of bare bulbs, a sad toy clown sitting on a crate and, on the right, a claw machine full of stuffed dolls.

The other symbols are rusty armillary spheres, a barred circus cage with a JACKPOT sign on top, and big J and K letters in a circus-poster font. A clown with blue and yellow hair and a painted smile carries the words FREE SPIN.

Two for a jackpot

Most slots in the Live22 frame want three jackpot symbols. Midnight Carnival's message bar says "2 JACKPOT SYMBOLS TRIGGERS JACKPOT GAME", so only two cages are needed. At a total bet of 50 the bar reads GRAND 78,699, MAJOR 17,213, MINOR 8,099 and MINI 6,031. I didn't catch the jackpot game in these screens.

Two-symbol wins pay on the base reels too. In the capture above, a pair of saws on line 10 paid 5, and the WIN box shows 35 for the whole spin. The other capture has two saws on line 3, also for 5, in a spin worth 50.

Free spins

The clown is the free-spin symbol, and one lands on reel 3 in the first win shot. The old page said the bonus gives up to 25 free spins with multipliers of up to 5. I never saw the round start, so that's unconfirmed. The old page also compared the theme to The Greatest Showman, which it really isn't; this is a lot darker.
