Magic Slots: top hats, dice and a progressive that needs BET MAX
An old-school three-reel slot on a magician's stage: one line, BET ONE, BET TWO or BET MAX, and a jackpot column that only counts at max bet.
Magic Slots is the sort of machine you'd find in a hotel arcade twenty years ago, painted onto a stage: red curtains, a big sack of gold coins on the left and a playing card propped on the right advertising the bonus game. The paytable is printed right on the cabinet in purple and gold, which saves a trip to any INFO screen.
The paytable, row by row
Three columns of payouts sit next to each combination: one coin, two coins, three coins. As printed:
- Three top hats: 1000, 2000, then JACKPOT
- Three blue gems: 500, 1000, 1500
- Three red dice: 200, 400, 600
- Three triple bars: 200, 400, 600
- Three double bars: 100, 200, 300
- Three single bars: 50, 100, 150
- Any three bars: 10, 20, 30
- Any two dice: 10, 20, 30
- Any one die: 2, 4, 6
So a lone red die anywhere on the line still pays something. That keeps a lot of spins from going completely dead, but the returns are tiny.
In that capture one die at one coin paid RM2.50, twice the RM1.25 stake, exactly the 'any 1' figure.
Coins and the jackpot
The coin selector is the gold disc on the left with minus and plus, set to RM1.25 in all three screens. Underneath the reels are three yellow buttons: BET ONE, BET TWO and BET MAX. There's just the one payline, marked with gold stars at each end.
A strip under the reels scrolls "Progressive Jackpot" and the amount, RM40,212.96 when I caught it. The top hats only pay the jackpot in the third column, and the card on the right says three magic wands start a bonus game "only if bet max is played". None of the captures shows the bonus itself, so I can't tell you what it involves.

Do you have to play BET MAX for the Magic Slots jackpot?
The paytable puts JACKPOT only in the third column (three top hats at max coins), and the card on the right says the magic-wand bonus game is 'only if bet max is played'. At a RM1.25 coin, max is three coins, so RM3.75 a spin.
What does a single die pay?
The 'any 1' row pays 2, 4 or 6 coins depending on how many coins you bet. In one capture a single red die on reel 1 at one coin (RM1.25) showed Win RM2.50, which fits the table.
