At 20:52 one evening, the Crystal Jackpot on SKY777's Shougen War read 14916.20. A few minutes later, on Spartan, the same box read 14916.20. The two games share their Crystal Treasure jackpot, and they share a lot more than that: Spartan is the same slot engine as Shougen War, dressed in bronze instead of samurai armour.

What's on the reels

Five reels and three rows, 50 lines, in front of crumbling brick walls with a burning orange sky behind. The Chinese title is 斯巴达, just "Sparta". Letters A to 10 carry the low pays. The four picture symbols are a dark-haired woman in a gold earring, a round bronze shield with a red Λ, a red and gold signet ring with the same letter, and a pair of crossed swords.

The green WITH column is exactly double the white one, because the wild doubles any line it's part of.

Helmet wild and phalanx scatter

The wild is a crested bronze helmet. It only lands on reels 2 and 4, expands to fill the reel, and replaces everything but the scatter. Two lines on the help page are worth reading slowly. "WILD is counted once on its reel", so an expanded wild doesn't count three times on the same line. And "Double wins of wild only happen in base game but not in free game."

The scatter is a phalanx: a row of soldiers behind round white shields. Three, four or five anywhere pay 2, 10 or 50 times the total bet and start free spins, which can be retriggered. How many spins you get isn't stated on this page.

The jackpot box above the reels switches between tiers: CRYSTAL at 14916.20, DIAMOND at 2493.46 in the settings shot. The rules page is the same as on Shougen War: a random jackpot screen during free games, four matching symbols to win, and the Crystal only at max bet.

On a single line at the 0.01 denomination, line 1 paid 0.20, twenty times the stake, which brought up the full BIG WIN screen with coins. The helmet wild is visible on reel 2 behind the banner.
