There's one symbol in Fong Shen that turned up only once across eight captures: an old man with a long white beard and a gold headpiece, framed in a gold ring, sitting dead centre of the reels. Everything else on these ACE333 screens repeats a lot. He doesn't.
The game is built on the Investiture of the Gods story (Feng Shen), and the art is a bit like a 3D cartoon. The reels are pale stone tiles on a backdrop of misty green mountains. The characters come in round frames: a woman in a white feather headdress (green ring), a girl in red (red ring), a young warrior with a mark on his forehead (blue ring) and the bearded sage (gold ring). The beasts don't get frames: a white crane, a fiery orange phoenix, a teal dragon creature and a snarling blue beast that looks like a qilin.
Bet panel and the jackpot strip
The bar is blue and chunky: CREDIT, LINES, a pink PLAY box with minus and plus buttons, TOTAL PLAY, WIN and a big gold SPIN that says HOLD FOR AUTOSPIN. It turns into a red STOP while the reels move.
The first capture is on 0.10 a line, so 0.90 a spin with 28.39 in credit. After that it's 0.02 a line (0.18 a spin), and the credit drifts down to 27.67. WIN stays at 0.00 in every shot, so I didn't get to see how a win is shown.
Above the reels are three counters: MAJOR, RANDOM and MINOR. RANDOM creeps up steadily from 7,296.50 to 7,304.14, while MAJOR and MINOR jump around (MAJOR anywhere from about 790 to 2,470). That looks like they're tied to the bet or reset often, but nothing on screen explains the rules.
The coin in the corner
The last shot has a bronze coin stamped with the character for earth on reel 1. The Play8oy build of this game uses five element coins for its bonus. I only saw this one coin, and no bonus screen, so I can't say what it does here. The old page's claim that the wild pays 2,000 for five went unconfirmed too; I didn't see a wild at all.
